Sex Addiction

Sex addiction is also known as sexual compulsion or sexual dependency. It describes any sexual activity that feels “out of control”. A sex addict can be male or female, straight or LGBT and may feel compelled to seek out and engage in behaviours in spite of the problems this causes in their personal, social or working life.

I am a Sex Addiction therapist, qualified by the Association for the Treatment of Sex Addiction and Compulsivity (ATSAC). If you think you may have a sex addiction, please get in touch. I will not tell you how to live your life, nor judge you. I will respond to your problems with understanding and compassion. Working through sex addiction and the often subconscious factors behind this is usually long-term work, but it can be done. If you are the partner of someone with a sex addiction, or this has recently come to light, I understand that this can be devastating and traumatic for you and you will probably need help and support with this. I can help you.

Please note, I do not work with people with a sexual interest in children, as this is very specialised work. For more information on this particular subject, please see the StopSo website (www.stopso.org.uk) or contact the Lucy Faithfull Foundation (www.lucyfaithfull.org.uk).

I charge £75 for an initial one and a half hour assessment session and thereafter £50 per hour for follow-up sessions.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice incur 100% of my fee.

EXAMPLES CAN INCLUDE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING, AND PARTICULARLY IF THESE BEHAVIOURS FEEL COMPULSIVE OR DIFFICULT TO STOP:
